Wheatgerm Oil is extracted from the germ of the wheat kernel. It is a rich orange brown in colour, and very rich in texture. Due to it's high Vitamin E content, it is widely used to increase the keeping qualities of less stable oils. Adding 2 - 5% of Wheatgerm to your blends will preserve them for long periods of time. It is useful in reducing scar tissue and stretch marks, also on dry and mature skins. It is not suitable for use on its own for massage due to it's thick texture and strong wheat odour. However, it is a natural anti-oxidant.
