Herbal Fluid Extracts are similar to tinctures the main difference lies in the strengh. Fluid Extracts are prepared so that 25ml of the extract equals 25g of the dried herb. This makes them about 3-4 times as strong as a tincture.
Accordingly dosages are reduced, 5-10 drops of the extract in water is the normal dosage. alcohol Free extracts may be prepared in the same way as standard Tinctures
