Evening Primrose Oil with Borage Oil
Both EPO and Borage oil are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids including Linoleic acid and Gamma Linoleic acid (GLA). Your body uses poly-unsaturated fat for the growth of cell membranes, and then converts them into prostaglandins, hormone like substances, that control and regulate many body processes. Some promote Inflammation, others control it. The GLA in evening primrose oil is directly converted to important anti-Inflammatory prostaglandins, which accounts for most of the supplements therapeutic effects.
IMPORTANT: Our digestive systems need to emulsify oils, and essential fatty acids into micelles, before they can be properly absorbed. Micelles are complete droplets, tiny enough to pass through the mucosal barrier, of the gastrointestinal tract. If only 20% of oil is emulsified during the digestive process, the remainder passes straight through the system. This unique freeze-dried process ensures 100% emulsification, into micelles so that absorption can be dramatically improved.
