Molkosan is a naturally lactofermented whey which is concentrated during processing, to ensure a high content of minerals, especially calcium, potassium, phosphorus and L(+) lactic acid.
L(+) lactic acid gives the product a pH of 2.7 (very acidic) which combines with its antiseptic action to inhibit bacterial and fungal infections.
The yeast Candida albicans is present in every individual. It normally lives harmlessly in the gastrointestinal tract.
