Ordering

You may place orders through our secure shopping site. Alternatively you may place orders by:

If you proceed through the site and create an order there is an option to either produce a sheet to fax or a letter to post. If you want to place the order by telephone, we suggest you print one of these and then call us with your credit card details.

Delivery

We always try to offer a fast and efficient service. We always dispatch all 'in stock' orders within 3 working days (sooner where possible).

Every order we dispatch is sent either 1st Class Royal Mail or by next day courier service depending on weight. Express Delivery is available at an additional charge. These orders must be recived no later than 12.00 noon, for delivery the next day by 12.30pm.

Express orders must be received by 12.00pm for delivery the next day before 12.30 pm. Please note that there must be someone to sign for the parcel between 7am and 12.30 pm on the day of delivery. Express orders weighing over 1.6 kilo will be dispatched by United Parcel Systems, all others by Royal Mail. Please note that the Express service is only available to customers on UK mainland and excludes the Scottish Highlands. Please also note that any Express orders placed on Friday will be delivered on Monday, those placed on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Tuesday.

Overseas orders are dispatched by Airmail or Courier depending on weight. Delivery will normally take between 5-21 days depending on the country we are sending to. The site will automatically calculate the cost of carriage when you insert the country and also deduct VAT on orders sent outside the EEC. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

Occasionally we are out of stock of an item ordered. If we are not going to be able to dispatch the item within 3 days we will contact you to advise on the situation. Should you wish to change the order you can do so at that time.

Postage rates - calculate your postage

Any order worth £50.00 or more, to be sent to an address in the UK, is dispatched absolutely free. This only applies if the total order weight is 25kg or less. On all other orders we operate a system based on the total weight of the parcel. We have a postage calculator which you can use to calculate the cost of shipping goods to your country.

For orders sent outside the UK prices vary considerably depending on the destination country. As we deduct 17.5% VAT from the goods cost on orders for outside the EEC, we normally find that the total of these orders, including postage, will be about the same as the total cost of the goods with the VAT included. If you compile your order on the web site the postage will be shown when you go to Checkout, if you are not completely satisfied at that stage, you do not have to proceed.

In compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information that you have given to us.

G.Baldwins & Co is fully PCI compliant and our systems are tested quarterly to ensure that high security standards are maintained.

Guarantee details

• In the unlikly event of your card being used fraudulently, your bank or card issuer cannot hold you liable for more than £50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank or card issuer does hold you liable for any of the £50.00, G.Baldwin & Co will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full £50.00. G.Baldwin & Co will cover this liability only if the unauthorised use of your credit or debit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at G.Baldwin & Co while using the secure server.
• In the event of unauthorised use of your credit or debit card, you must notify your credit or debit card issuer in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Privacy policy

G.Baldwin & Co are committed to protecting your privacy and will use all reasonable endeavours to safeguard the privacy of its users. The information we gather from you is used by us to ensure that we give you the best possible service.

When you register or place an order with G.Baldwin & Co it is necessary for us to collect certain information from you to enable us to complete our service. We need to know your name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of your order status. We also ask for your telephone number, which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order. For some international deliveries this number may be given to our couriers.

When you place orders or access your account information, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information, which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. G.Baldwin & Co never shares or passes on information it gathers in the conduct of its Internet/Mail order business. You will not receive unsolicited mail from other companies as a result of dealing with us.

We are required by law to make no claim for the therapeutic qualities of the remedies that we sell.

However, the traditional values of herbal remedies are well known and information may be obtained from books, leaflets and the Internet. We are also able to give you limited information and one of our friendly staff will be pleased to answer your queries, when possible.

Before making your purchase please ask yourself the following questions:

• Am I taking or intend to take nutritional or herbal supplements?
