[also known as Sweet Clover, King's Clover]
Origin: Germany
The 'Mel' part of the name means honey in french. It is a culinary substitute for tarragon in dishes. Beyond the kitchen, it also has the practical use of acting like Camphor to deter moths from material and fabrics.
Health perks:
Melilot is a versatile herb that has been used since ancient times. The herb acts as a stimulant supporting blood and lymph circulation; useful in reducing oedema due to its saponin content.
As well as saponins, the herb contains the compound herniarin, which assists in blood sugar regulation. The flavonoids, Melilot has are antioxidants that present to neutralise free radicals, boosting the immune system's capacity and functionality.
Topically, it has been applied to treat bruises, sprains and varicose veins. Its emollient quality helps to soothe and soften the skin where there is inflammation.
Being a carminative; Melilot is useful for relieving digestive discomfort that is anxiety or stress induced, and therefore, can also ease gut spasms. Additionally, the herb is stimulating in cases of sluggish digestion.

- Express orders must be placed before 1pm on any weekday
- Orders placed after 1pm on Thursday will be delivered by 1pm on the following Monday
- There must be someone available to sign for receive the package between 7am 1pm on the day of delivery

Returns
Here at Baldwins it is our policy to give 100% satisfaction. We do know however, that there may be the odd occasion when you wish to return items. Below you will find an outline of our returns policy.
28 Day No-Quibble Guarantee
If, for any reason, you are unhappy with an item you have received, you may return it within 28 days, unopened and in its original condition, to our Freepost address (below). Upon receipt, we will be happy to give you a full refundfor the item.
Alternatively, you may wish to exchange the item for another. Please note that post and packing costs are non-refundable.
Returning An Item
To return an item, please package in its original wrapping (if possible) and provide a note outlining your name, address, order number and reason for returning.
If your item is under 20 Kg and is smaller than 61cm (L) x 46cm (W) x 46cm (D) then you can use our Free Royal Mail 48 Hour Tracked service by heading here and filling in the appropriate details:

This service will generate a label that you can either print at home or take with you to the post office for them to print.
You will need your order number which is the 6 digit number sent out on your order dispatch email. (If you have any trouble finding this, do give us a call and we can happily find it for you).
Once orders are returned, we aim to process them within 72 hours and (if required) notify you by mail when we have processed your refund and ship any replacements out as soon as possible.
If your item is over 20 Kg or larger than the specified size (or too heavy for you to take to the post office) please call us and we can arrange collection with one of our courier partners.
