Product Description
Activon Tube contains 100% Manuka honey with no additives from New Zealand. Our Manuka honey is filtered and sterilised, making it suitable for application to wounds.
Manuka honey will de-bride and de-slough, eliminate odours and provides a moist wound healing environment.
Activon Tube is ideal for debriding necrotic tissue, or for topping up dressings where the honey has been washed away by exudate. Great for using in cavities, just wash
away with saline solution.
Use
Twist off cap, apply liberally to the wound bed to a minimum depth of 5mm and cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.
Activon Tube is a single patient use only product, once opened use within 90 days.
Initially you may experience high levels of exudate, this is perfectly normal and will decrease over time, therefore your secondary dressing of choice may initially need to
be super absorbent, we recommend Eclypse.
Top tip
Use Activon Tube in conjunction with Algivon for debriding and de-sloughing.
Indications
Activon Tube is ideal for debriding necrotic tissue; it's ideal for topping up dressings where the honey is washed away or great for using directly into cavities. Honey can
be washed away using normal saline solution. As honey is a natural product any remaining honey will not have any adverse effects.
Activon Tube may be applied to any wound but especially: Pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, graft sites, infected wounds, cavity wounds and sinuses
Contra-indications
Although the honey is not absorbed into the blood stream, we advise monitoring the levels of patients with diabetes. Do not use if allergic to bee venom.
Discomfort can be experienced when honey is applied, depending on sensitivity of the wound it may be necessary to consider an appropriate level of analgesic.
The initial discomfort usually subsides, however if it does continue, discontinue use and irrigate the wound with saline solution.

- Express orders must be placed before 1pm on any weekday

Returns
Here at Baldwins it is our policy to give 100% satisfaction. We do know however, that there may be the odd occasion when you wish to return items. Below you will find an outline of our returns policy.

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with an item you have received, you may return it within 28 days, unopened and in its original condition, to our Freepost address (below). Upon receipt, we will be happy to give you a full refundfor the item.
Alternatively, you may wish to exchange the item for another. Please note that post and packing costs are non-refundable.
Returning An Item
To return an item, please package in its original wrapping (if possible) and provide a note outlining your name, address, order number and reason for returning.
If your item is under 20 Kg and is smaller than 61cm (L) x 46cm (W) x 46cm (D) then you can use our Free Royal Mail 48 Hour Tracked service by heading here and filling in the appropriate details:

This service will generate a label that you can either print at home or take with you to the post office for them to print.
You will need your order number which is the 6 digit number sent out on your order dispatch email. (If you have any trouble finding this, do give us a call and we can happily find it for you).
Once orders are returned, we aim to process them within 72 hours and (if required) notify you by mail when we have processed your refund and ship any replacements out as soon as possible.
If your item is over 20 Kg or larger than the specified size (or too heavy for you to take to the post office) please call us and we can arrange collection with one of our courier partners.
