Baldwins Clove Bud Essential Oil
Description

Clove bud essential oil is derived from the dried flower buds of the clove tree (Syzygium aromaticum/ Eugenia Caryophyllus) through steam distillation. It has a warm, spicy, and rich aroma that smells closer to the ground spice than the more herbaceous Clove leaf oil, due to its higher concentration of eugenol.

Clove oil is often used in dental care products like toothpaste and mouthwash due to its analgesic and antiseptic properties and can help relieve toothaches and gum pain. It has analgesic properties that make it useful for relieving various types of pain, including headaches, muscle aches, and joint pain. However, it should be used sparingly and properly diluted as it can be strong and potentially irritatingand should never be used internally.

The oil can be used in aromatherapy or as an ingredient in steam inhalation to help relieve respiratory issues like coughs, colds, and sinusitis and may help clear mucus and soothe respiratory discomfort. It can be used to create a warm, comforting atmosphere and inhaling the aroma can have a calming effect and may help reduce stress and anxiety.

Clove bud oil has strong antimicrobial properties and can be used to disinfect surfaces due to its ability to kill bacteria and other pathogens. Its strong scent can also act as a natural insect repellent.
