100% Pure Echinacea (Angustifolia) Root,
Firstly, the differences between the varieties of Echinacea, a common question for us at Baldwins.
Angustifolia is the stronger of the two we sell (coming in at up to 30% stronger that the purpurea variety) however, harvesting the angustifolia root is more damaging to the environment as more of the plant has to be destroyed to get at the precious root.
Echinacea benefits are all centered around immune functions, supposedly supporting this by activating white blood cells.
Some double-blind trials and studies have proven Echinacea succesful at treating the common cold & flu and also may aid the body's ability to fight infection (by increasing the production of Interferon in the body).
The trick to Echinacea is to take it as soon as you notice cold & flu symptoms (3-4ml tincture / 300mg powdered root every two hours for the first 24 hours of symptoms - settling down to 3 times a day for 7-10 days).
Other benefits, that may need some more clinical testing, include treating anxiety (Angustifolia) and it's effect on skin conditions such as Eczema (due to it's anti-microbial effects).

Express Delivery (UK)
- Express orders must be placed before 1pm on any weekday
- Orders placed after 1pm on Thursday will be delivered by 1pm on the following Monday
- There must be someone available to sign for receive the package between 7am 1pm on the day of delivery

Returns
Here at Baldwins it is our policy to give 100% satisfaction. We do know however, that there may be the odd occasion when you wish to return items. Below you will find an outline of our returns policy.
28 Day No-Quibble Guarantee
If, for any reason, you are unhappy with an item you have received, you may return it within 28 days, unopened and in its original condition, to our Freepost address (below). Upon receipt, we will be happy to give you a full refundfor the item.
Alternatively, you may wish to exchange the item for another. Please note that post and packing costs are non-refundable.
Returning An Item
To return an item, please package in its original wrapping (if possible) and provide a note outlining your name, address, order number and reason for returning.
If your item is under 20 Kg and is smaller than 61cm (L) x 46cm (W) x 46cm (D) then you can use our Free Royal Mail 48 Hour Tracked service by heading here and filling in the appropriate details:

This service will generate a label that you can either print at home or take with you to the post office for them to print.
You will need your order number which is the 6 digit number sent out on your order dispatch email. (If you have any trouble finding this, do give us a call and we can happily find it for you).
Once orders are returned, we aim to process them within 72 hours and (if required) notify you by mail when we have processed your refund and ship any replacements out as soon as possible.
If your item is over 20 Kg or larger than the specified size (or too heavy for you to take to the post office) please call us and we can arrange collection with one of our courier partners.
