Health perks:

Native American tribes utilised the root in treating female gynaecological imbalances. Blue Cohosh as an emmenagogue, can correct irregular menstruation, especially if it is delayed like amenorrhoea. The root also contributes spasmodic relief in dysmenorrhoea and endometriosis.

Historically, Blue Cohosh served as a uterine tonic by doulas/ midwives to generate contractions***.
