Let’s be honest. Cleaning your loo can be a bit...well...poo. It’s a task that nobody likes, but luckily we’re here to help make the process easier for you.

In a family home, the regular usage of the bathroom can be wearing on your toilet but it’s also a pain to spend the afternoon tirelessly scrubbing the bottom of your bowl, however, there is a way to go hands-free and clean without the toxic fumes of bleach.

Just drop one of our homemade toilet cleaning bombs into the bowl and it will help restore your toilet to conditions fit for the queen.

Here’s the recipe:

1. Mix 315g of baking soda and 120g of citric acid together in a bowl.

2. In a separate bottle mix 1 tsp of water, 30 drops of lavender essential oil, 30 drops of lemon essential oil and 30 drops of peppermint essential oil.

3. Slowly pour the liquid into the mixture of dry ingredients bit by bit and mix. Please note that this may cause the mixture to fizz and expand if too much liquid is applied at a time.

4. Once the mixture is at a clammy texture that sticks together when squeezed in your fist, transfer it into a silicone ice tray and allow to air dry. If the mixture does not stick, add a couple of drops of water until it does.

5. Gently remove the toilet bombs from the silicone ice tray and drop into the toilet bowl.

6. Store the rest of the toilet cleaner bombs inside a jar in a cool dry place.
