Known as the White Cedar tree or even Abor vitae.

Health perks:

Antiviral, and as a lymphatic herb, Thuja with Echinacea and Wild Indigo is an effective remedy for the upper respiratory infection (chesty cold). This herb can be used as a natural antibiotic with Oregano and Garlic.

Coincidingly as an antibiotic, it is helpful for an ear infection, the Thuja can be taken internally as a tea or infused in olive oil to massage around the ear. Additionally, to ensure we are working internally and externally, a bob of cotton lightly soaked in the Thuja-infused olive oil can be secured in the opening of the ear tunnel.

Addresses imbalanced skin; psoriasis, and dermal growths; warts, skin tags, fungal infections. Also a great vemifuge for those overwhelming intestinal worms that can contribute to the imbalanced skin conditions.

Thuja is an expectorant especially in terms of mucus congestion. It is used in folk medicine to treat bronchial conditions, but specifically encourages the clearance of lymphatic congestion and lymph vessel quality, for efficient transportation and communication around the body.

A useful emmenagogue in cases like ammenorrhoea, by stimulating the uterus. Girls, we may not find periods ideal... but it is a natural and beautiful phenomenon of Life.
