The primary reason to detox is not necessarily to lose weight (although this is often a natural consequence) but in fact to rid the body of toxins and chemicals that the body has been exposed to. Many celebrities tout the benefits of a detox every now and then, and often dieters will try and follow one to kick start a new diet regime. It can be a great idea to detox as a way to prepare for summer.Of primary importance when it comes to detoxing is safety. A detox doesn’t mean going without, it just means consuming only natural produce and eliminating bad foods and drinks for a period.
