Losing Weight the Vegan Way
Body confidence is a wonderful thing, and something we’re thankfully recognising more as a society. That said, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to shed a few pounds here and there.
But with so many dieting fads and get-thin-quick schemes being advertised everywhere, it’s difficult to know where to look and what to do.
Well, thankfully there are much better ways of losing weight than relying on questionable powders, fasting rituals and celebrity diet videos. In fact, you can do it entirely naturally, with a few simple ingredients to help you along the way.
So if you want to shift some excess weight in a way that’s more natural, and ethically and environmentally sound - read on.
Keep it Simple
There’s one elementary rule to losing weight, which is vastly superior to any dieting fad that’s ever existed. The idea is so simple, so obvious, that it’s a great mantra to keep in mind during your weight-loss journey, and it’s worth reiterating here:
Move more. Eat Less.
In fact, if we’re being precise about it, it’s this: ‘Move more than you eat.’
While this sounds startlingly obvious, it’s the most basic tenet of losing weight. You need to burn more calories than you consume.
Your body will burn on average 2000 calories per day without any exercise, but if you eat and drink more than that amount, you’ll put on weight. If you consume less than that amount you’ll lose weight.
However, if you regularly both consume less than that amount as well as exercising, your body will be in a greater calorie deficit, leading to a higher level of weight loss. Of course, you need to be careful that you’re still taking in enough calories to keep healthy.
Luckily, there are also a few vegan-friendly aids to help you get to your desired weight in a totally natural way.
Spiced Lemon Juice
If you’re living a full and hectic life, but want to supplement your exercise and diet regime with a little something to help along the way, it may be worth making some spiced lemon juice.
It’s super quick and easy to make and will help to burn fat as well as strengthen up your liver.
Apple Cider Vinegar Weight Shredder
This remedy more-or-less does what it says on the tin. Because apple cider vinegar is essentially fermented apple juice, it helps creates the good bacteria in the gut which are linked to healthier weights.
It also has the added bonus of tasting rather delicious too.
You can make it easily from your own kitchen in just a few minutes, and you can find the recipe right here.
Vegan Detox Tea
Ayurvedic medicine harnesses all the wisdom of the ancient Indians, and is a practice which has been going on for hundreds of generations.
The Vegan Detox Tea borrows from this ancient knowledge, which believes that detoxifying the body leads to weight loss by breaking down the fat and improving liver function.
You can make your very own Ayurvedic-inspired Vegan Detox Tea by following the recipe right here.
